How Does a Hearing Aid Work?
A hearing aid is a small electronic device that you wear inside or behind your ear. The hearing aid receives sound through a microphone, which converts the sound waves to electrical signals and sends them to an amplifier. The amplifier increases the power of the signals and then sends them to the ear through a speaker.
BUYER BEWARE…….
NOT ALL HEARING AIDS ARE THE SAME! Microphones, amplifiers and speakers vary greatly between brands, products/devices. These differences can greatly affect sound quality. Hearing aid price does not guarantee a good quality hearing aid.
